When in doubt, seek an expert's opinion! I picked up this vintage Omega cal. 265 and, although I rather like the stainless dial, I have my suspicions about it. The watch has a lovely English case, by Dennison, that matches the date of the movement - 1951-52. The movement is clean and keeping perfect time. I thought this could be the right place to present my Omega 2503-7 with cal 265. The serial number is 1170xxxx, so it is likely one of the first produced, around 1949. Still the dial is in perfect conditions. Omega caliber 265 is Swiss movement from 1930’s – 1960’s. Sub-dial for seconds. Manual-winding movement with 15 jewels. Power reserve: 43 hours.
